Feedback on The Spelling Game (version 1)

Some Feedback from Previous Users of the game

“Dear Amin, Your game is one of the most useful and enjoyable tools on the net to help people of all ages learn the English language. I'm an English teacher here in Brazil, and I've been using your game as a tool to stimulate my pupils to help them solve some spelling difficulties they've been facing. The least I could and must say is thank you very much for such an exciting and creative tool... And Last but not least: I can't wait to have an update! Please, keep on improving this amazing tool!" (RJ, Brazil)

“I really like this game. As you've probably guessed I work in a school and I would like to try this with SEN pupils…I'm going to try it out on a few pupils next week and update you. Yours thankfully,” (AM, UK)

“have had a quick game (must work harder on my spellings!) and it looks great…- I will try it on the kids tomorrow…” (UA,UK)

“Firstly, fabulous that you have created something, my son loves it and it is great to have something with English speaking. Its really good, thank you!” (Survey)

"Feedback
Well, for a quid you just can't go wrong. It's a nice simple little game, really good value. As you say, looking attractive isn't the point of it.
My only criticisms, and don't get me wrong here, this is not a complaint as such, are:
1) The voice is lovely overall, and thankfully English - hooray!! However, the accent sometimes sounds a bit Australian, e.g. "engry", "enkle" and "enxious". There are only a few of these so far though.
2) You can only have a max spelling test of 20 words. I understand why that is because of fitting them on the screen, but 20 doesn't give enough validity to any statistics, in terms of measuring improvement.
3) You have to put 158Mb in C:\My Documents, which was only possible on my kids' computer with a load of messing, due to the partition sizes. (I didn't set it up like that btw!)
Anyway, I don't want to end on a downer. Good job!
Cheers" (Oct 1st 2008 from DM,UK)
